AVP of Construction

Job description

  • Evaluate, manage, and oversee the development and construction of multiple projects, from design through final project completion.
  • Effectively partner with internal and external Developers to direct and perform due diligence, design, value engineer and attain project approvals, including all products and materials.
  • Initiate and maintain effective communication and documentation with management personnel, including Operations, Asset Management, Construction Services and other internal departments that have input or may be impacted by the projects throughout the development and construction process.
  • Review and evaluate consultant, vendor, and contractor agreements and change orders as prepared by Development and Construction Managers.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and finalize detailed and complex construction contracts (GMPs) with EQR Legal Department for review and final approval by CEO.
  • Receive, inspect, and approve all progress reports, costs, payment schedules, and all reports of the project team.
  • Conduct meetings with key Development and Construction personnel and consultants on the construction progress and enact any necessary changes.
  • Participate in design meetings, providing pre-construction input on cost, design, schedule and construction means and methods, including the use of General Contractor input for validation of assumptions.

Qualifications

  • Male, Age 40-48 years old.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience of luxury project in real estate.
  • Strong marketing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Google, Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Primavera, Sure Track, and other programs as necessary.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Vice President of Finance (Experience with Real estate/Hotel/Retail)

Job description

  • Oversee the day to day accounting process, company cash flow and cash management; prepare financial and budget forecasts.
  • Develop, implement and assure compliance of the financials and the accounting policies within the company.
  • Effectively lead the Finance and Accounting department by directing and coordinating the activities of the company’s staff in all areas of Accounts Payable, and Receivable, General Ledger, Payroll and related functions.
  • Serve as the liaison between accounting, leasing, property management and the executive team relative to the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Communicate and enforce monthly close processes and deadlines

  • Experience in implementing and maintaining financial business risk controls
  • Ability to devise financial policy approaches and strategy
  • Focused and can work under pressure

Internal Audit Manager (Real estate)

Job description

  • Develop and implement internal auditing policies, procedures, and program.
  • Review of complex monthly journal entries, high risk balance sheet account reconciliations, and analytics over significant account balances prepared by staff and senior accountants
  • Review of accounting procedures.
  • Review of quarterly external reporting schedules
  • Investigate and determine causes of irregularities, and errors.
  • Recommend corrective action and suggest improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business
